We're LIVE!

Live Generously

We are blessed to invest

Giving is at the heart of discipleship.

In Matthew 6:21, Jesus says, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Ways to Give

Give Now

There are various methods of giving. But more than a method, God is most interested in our manner of giving. We give gratefully for who He is and what He is doing. We give generously because He has been so generous to us - even giving us His Son. And we give gladly as an act of worship.

Questions?

Why Give?

There is no better place to invest than in the Kingdom of God. Our hearts are to be focused on investing in God’s eternal purposes, not building our own temporary kingdoms (1 Timothy 6:7). Jesus talked about giving more than any other topic. In the end, giving is about the status of your heart. Luke 12:34 says, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Initial Giver

An Initial Giver is someone who decides to give for the first time, out of a response to God’s Word about giving.

Consistent Giver

A Consistent Giver decides to give on a consistent basis to exercise the discipline of giving as a disciple of Jesus

Priority Giver

A Priority Giver understands the preeminence of Jesus and that He is before all things — that all things were created by Him, for Him, through Him, and to Him.

Surrendered Giver

A Surrendered Giver recognizes that Jesus surrendered Himself for us, and therefore we desire to surrender ourselves to Him, in love.

Eternal Giver

An Eternal Giver sees the eternal impact of their giving – on themselves and on others – not just the immediate programs and ministries it helps accomplish. This giver has been captivated by the knowledge that the more they are led to “do good, to be generous and ready to share,” the more they “take hold of that which is truly life” (1 Timothy 6:18-19).

God owns it all. And we are managers (or stewards) of all that God has entrusted to us. To grow as a follower of Jesus is to grow in generous living because we are blessed to invest.

Time

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. – Ephesians 5:15-16

Talents

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace – 1 Peter 4:10

Treasure

Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. – Malachi 3:10

Testimony

But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect – 1 Peter 3:15

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
